Here is a rough preview. It's not even a months worth of progress. [Clickety Click]
I have a rough understanding of 3D concepts due to school and OG help from Nobby on teaching me basic concepts back in the day. I'm learning something new every time I work on the mod
I'm a beta tester as well. In addition to beta testing I'm making my first car mod. An Acura Integra Type R with a JDM front end conversion (what I drive in irl haha)
Would love to hear some news on it. I saw that it had moved to turbo duck but couldn't really find info.. Its alive? Any info would be interesting, Audrey thanks!
Yooo it’s been a phat minute. Hope y’all are doin good. Saw that test drive is makin a comeback which is so dope. Cant wait to see what they come up with
Hey guys. It's been a while. Not much happens on here these days, but i thought id make a post, seeing how everyone is, what they are doing these days.
A lot of stuff in my life is the same. Still do drumming, still do gfx, still play games.
Although drumming gets better all the time, i can play more and more songs now. Different gfx opportunities come up. Currently doing a bit of work with Vertex breakers a company that has made a VR hoverbike racing game, called "V-Racer Hoverbike"
Im one of the mods for them on discord, im part of the beta testing team. And occasionally i work on 3d objects that will become, game reward items for oculus home (like getting acheivments in steam, you can get them in oculus too, in some games you can also earn items for your oculus home) i am making some of those items.. Trophies, neon sign game logos, that kind of thing..
Game wise, i almost exclusively play VR games now.. I have, i think 3, 2d games i play, Planet coaster, Snooker 2019, and i just put Sniper Elite 3 on my computer.. Everything else is a VR game.. Sadly, the main reason for buying VR (to race in Assetto corsa) makes me violently sick. Almost all racing sims in VR make most people sick due to the motion sickness effect.. You get sick because your eyes/brain see you going up n down hills and around corners, but your body doesnt experience any of those sensations, which causes a missmatch and makes you feel seasick.
The only reason the hover bike game doesnt make people sick is because you lean your entire upper body to go around corners (like you would on a real bike) Because the vr bike leans when you do, the picture matches up. What you see/brain processes and what your body is feeling are the same, so your brain accepts it as being real (the body lean also helps greatly with emersion)
Still working the same main job as i have for the last 3 years, making heat exchangers/radiators for large machinery (tanks, helicoptors, back up generators..) Still doing side gfx jobs when i have the time..
The biggest new thing in my life, is i have a missus now I've had dates here and there and had a few girlfriends for a couple of weeks or something, but i haven't been in a proper commited relationship for nearly 10 years (for about 7 of that i wasnt interested in looking) But i decided im fed up of being alone and only having my brother or the dog to talk to (YES i still have Cujo but he is old now ) So i dedcided to hit up a dating site (im terrible at chatting up women in the real) and no it wasnt Tinder or POF. Id used it for about 6 months and not really had much luck with it. Then one day i decided to go further than just the "free" use and paid for some of the extra features.. Boy did that make a difference.. I was getting way more profile visits, more likes, more matches, more chats.. The one night i had 8 chat windows open, i was talkign to 8 different women all at the same time Eventually weeding out ones there were not compatible until we got down to just 2 left.. I chatted to both of them on and off for a coulple of weeks, then we went for dates.. Realised i was more compatible with one of the ladies than the other, So very carefully explained to one of them, i would not be asking for a second date. she took it well (we aint kids we dont get all shitty about these things).
I kind of played it like the tv show "the Bachelor" I was there for me, so i wanted what was right for me, not what id settle for. So i played the numbers game until i found the one that was just right for me...
That was back in August, ive been seeing Rebecca every other weekend since then (she has an odd work schedule) Ive met her kids (she has 2 kids, 18 and 15) ive stopped at her place, she has stopped at mine, i cooked for her ya i know! Her eldest "approves" of me, although he hardly met me, it did go well. The younger thinks im cool Coz i have drums and a sweet computer and VR and all the cool toys and stuff we have in the house (typical geek single guys, so its tech and collectables) So, so far its going REALLY well, we are going away for a weekend break this month (or first vacation away together)
So thats what has been happening in my life.. What have you guys been doing the last few years
yeah it's been quiet here for a long time, while it's interesting to see that the community is still growing and growing.
I'd been doing not that much and my life is more or less boring and the same shit each and every day for the past decade. For 12 years now i have the same (pretty secure) boring job (now under the banner of Vodafone).
I'm single for over a decade, mainly because i have almost the same problems as you Nobby. I can talk to women but i'm so fed up with bad experiences that i always do hesitate taking the next step. I want to get to know them good enough to maybe decide to take it. But when it's then time we know us too good to make more out of it (not necessarily what i think...but you know...women...pfff).
Beside that i'm already in an age where i do not leave the house that much anymore for partys and stuff. So during the last decade i met only new, interesting women at work or occasionally when i was out on party. So the chances are not that big to meet new, possible partners.
Three weeks ago i started going to the gym again...comeback after almost 15 years, because i got totally out of shape during that time being more or less a couchpotato. Maybe this will open some doors again.
Like said i'm mostly at home if i'm not at work. And what do i do there...
...playing games either, at the moment and for the past 4-5 years The Crew and now The Crew 2. Here i made it to be a part of an official developer project called "The PitCrew". The PitCrew is a group of 25-30 "hardcore"-The Crew-players and community-representatives chosen by Ivory Tower to give detailed feedback and suggestions to them personally. We have our own seperate feedback-platform and a discord-channel with devs and CPs in it. We also get infos to the game way earlier than the rest of the community and we get testbuilds of future bigger updates, where we even are allowed to pre-record stuff. Sounds all interesting, but the reality is mostly not as shiny as it may look, most of the stuff is under NDA anyway....whatever.
Other than that i'm wasting my time with movies, tv-series and youtube. On the last part i'm building up my own channel now for about 2 years, showing how to drive good (without any glitch-abusing, not as others) and still be successful. Beside that i'm doing tutorialvideos of TC2. Lately i also discovered Twitch for myself to stream some stuff, because the streamquality on Twitch is somehow way better than streaming on youtube.
Our cruising-community the "Cruiseanostra" is still alive, although many members are not or only occasionally active at the moment. Mainly only Weena and me are on for cruising at the evening and talking in discord.
I just hope i will get a turnaround to diverse my life a little bit. I keep you updated.

Hey there, I've never been that active here, only a few times, but that was mostly because back when TDU2 was released I was just a boy and couldn't speak much English, my internet activity was minimal and here I was simply looking for some tips and good stuff for the game.
This website was a huge part of my younger days just as the game itself and not that long ago I even played it once again to remember the old days... I actually spent my entire week off work playing it, as it was just like I remembered it, maybe even better! Starting a new game brought back all the feelings from the first days after the game's release and me playing it for the first time... Yes, the physics might be frustrating, but damn is this just the best game in this genre!
I haven't been playing games in general for the past 2-3 years, simply because I just don't find it as entertaining as before, also as I was finishing school and was working during afternoons/nights, there simply wasn't enough time. But now I've finally been able to get my dream job - I am a freight train driver. And it in fact is even better than I ever thought it would be! Working 36 hours a week, plenty of days off, night shifts mean that I finally can live how I always wanted - never been an early bird, so now I usually start at about 5-6 PM and end at 5-6 AM and then I can go home and sleep, to me this is perfect! Yeah, the times differ, but overall, I would never change it. The job is also finally something that I can call a hobby that also makes damn good money!
Otherwise there hasn't been much happening in my life lately. At the end of last year I was dealing with a very painful breakup which I haven't really gotten over until about last month or so, but just about two weeks ago we started talking again with a girl who used to be my classmate back in elementary school, we've had an amazing chat and are going for maybe even a date in two days from now!
Last thing is that I am about to move to a different city, this will actually be my first time in my life moving anywhere, so definitely something to look forward to, although it will be hard to leave the house I grew up in... But yeah, it is a necessary step to make - I've just turned 21 in October (I'm European, so no big deal, been adult since 18), so of course I don't wanna live with my mom anymore, although I will keep visiting her often as she's always been the best mom to wish for! Also I have to drive to the city where I wanna move for some shifts (I don't always start my shifts there, that would be long to explain), so it will surely be easier for me in some things if I live there, although that's not the main reason, the main is that I'm getting more and more tired of living in a huge capital city...
So that's it, was nice to hear from y'all again, from time to time I do remember the times of playing TDU2 and visiting this website basically daily... Until next time, have a great one, bye!
That’s quite an update! Sounds like things are good there. Could list much but my time has been taken up trying to develop this game that I just spammed you all with earlier - xthrust.com A few years at it now. Here’s hoping.
Tdu2 days were great times.
Edit: now seeing my avatar for the first time in a while, I might have to go drive that cinque.

Well, I just bought my first house together with my girlfriend, still gaming, although not as much anymore. I am studying sociology since 2 years. TDU2 was so much fun, but everyone just stopped playing at one point, and now the servers are down. I do love my other games now, mostly GTAV, Battlefield 1, Skyrim, Elite Dangerous, Euro Truck Sim2, and few other old games I tend to revisit. I am also making a button-box for racing/flying games now so I have a little hard-ware-project now
Yeah the reason everyones topped playing because TDU2 servers were already on the way out, when "The Crew " came out. So as most people couldn't even get o nthe tdu servers any more they just switched to playing The Crew.. Then the servers got turned off properly and that was pretty much the end of that.

Nice to hear you guys have been doing fairly well. Nothing too crazy happened to me. Still very single like most of you guys out there, so nothing to report there.
I have gotten myself a different car, I don't believe I've shared that here. Here are some pics!
Spoiler:
It's a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta GLI. Mine came optioned with grey leather interior, moon roof, and Galactic Blue Pearl exterior paint. In 2003 the GLI came with the 2.8l 24 valve VR6, which originally made 200 bhp. It's a 6 speed manual which I love. I don't think I'd change anything about the car, except for the fact that it's FWD. Either way I can't complain. High maintenance costs aside, she's an alright car and makes me grin whenever I drive.
