Here is a rough preview. It's not even a months worth of progress. [Clickety Click]
I have a rough understanding of 3D concepts due to school and OG help from Nobby on teaching me basic concepts back in the day. I'm learning something new every time I work on the mod
I'm a beta tester as well. In addition to beta testing I'm making my first car mod. An Acura Integra Type R with a JDM front end conversion (what I drive in irl haha)
Would love to hear some news on it. I saw that it had moved to turbo duck but couldn't really find info.. Its alive? Any info would be interesting, Audrey thanks!
Yooo it’s been a phat minute. Hope y’all are doin good. Saw that test drive is makin a comeback which is so dope. Cant wait to see what they come up with

Hi guys, sorry to dig up an old thread, but i've recently gotten back into casual TDU modding and am having some problems with this. I've followed all direction and have gotten successfully up to the final re-encrypt db_data part.
My problem is after editing the database file and (i think successfully) re-encrypting it with the batch files included, im unsure of what to do with the new db_data.cpr_enc file. Intuition told me to move the original db_data to desktop, and rename and get rid of the '_enc' at the end of the newly created data file. However this causes the game to ctd when the atari intro is supposed to come in upon opening the game.

As far as i know, it dose not work after the some recent patch. When you do mod the file it crashes the game (for me at least).
It all depends on how you edit the file. When you edit it, you have to have the right amount of 00's and the file size has to be close to the same. To make even more confusing, you can only swap a long titled pice of outfit with a smaller titled outfit, otherwise it wont work (this is where the 00 comes in). You have to replace the remaining name with 00 in the hex edit to finish the hex code.
I believe that you have to unencrypt the file, edit and encrypt it again. However when i tired the game kept crashing at the title screen, so i gave up and had close Atari friend help me (and i mean he edited it all), so i i did not know what he did. The only downside is that you can only use it offline, because online it crashes *i think*.
If someone can please figure out how to get it online it would help

i'm only using it for offline any, and I think I did add the '00' correctly. Exactly as the tut said, search for 2 items, do a 'replace with' and add 'spaces' so the character length matches the original item. Hex's that need to be changed will change to '20', change to '00', re-encrypt and replace.
Though as you said, maybe it is impossible with a certain patch.
several things got turned on or off after the last update ( for online). no more hotrod, a lot of the older cheat things no longer work and messing with some of the internal databases can cause stability issues.

Did you really have to dig up an old fourm to ask that? Even if we told you, the information would be useless because all the clothes in the game have been unlocked with the Unofficial Patch. If you don't know what the patch is, Google it, learn it, download it.
If you still need help, unpack the game the game and install the Patch. The UP has two versions, Unpacked and Retail. If you want to keep the core game but don't want to unpack it, but want bugs fixed and a few extras, choose Retail. If you want all the file locations ready for you to install future mods, then unpack the game first, and then install the unpacked version. That simple..
If your too lazy to click on the "Tutorials" at the top of the page and then learn a few things about unpacking, then you'll get nowhere. Same if your too lazy to go go Google and search for "Unofficial Patch TDU2"....

Greeting all.
Few questions from newbie, sorry if they look stupid. What does PNJ stand for? Are the PNJ clothes (particularly the full suit) referred to by the thread poster same as this one: [Clickety Click]
it is the same thing as in the video. Im not sure what the initials PNJ stand for but it basically means None playable characters most games refere to it as NPC's but thats basically what it is, all the none playable characters clothes and anything that is classed as a special outfit maybe something used in a specific mission. but its mainly just none playable characters stuff like the cops outfits stuff like that.. all the clothes you cannot normally buy or use..

Great, that means now PNJ clothes have been incorporated into the Unofficial Patch. I am wondering whether these clothers could be seen by players who do not install the unofficial patch? This is because I am wearing a full suit and leather shoes with a sun-glasses like a hitman (except my character is not bold) and driving Zonda with UK flag on it (as modded and created by you lol).
I really hope I could show off my suit to those players as well
actually, im not sure about that, technically they should be able to see it. as the files are on every bodies computer. Thats the only reason things don't show up on others computers, you have the files but they don't, but thats not the case with this. these files are already in the game, all that is happening is you are being able to wear them now. So i guess others should be able to see the outfit
