HEHEHE yeah im fine. i didnt actually break anything, just bruised stuff a lot (my ego mainly) im all better now though, so i will be back to playing eat saber and Pavlov..
Also yeah i broke out in an all over body sweat the other day, then my mouth went all watery and i realised i was suffering from my first go of motion sickness.. Pulled the headset up off my head and 2 seconds later i was fine. But for those few seconds things did feel VERY odd..
Eek! The only thing I've broken in VR is a massive sweat! I hope you're alright, Nobby. Take it easy, play some comfort VR games, and you'll be back to throwing your arms and head around in no time
Ouch! but yeah for VR, esp. a Vive you need a big empty room in best case scenario. The friend of my sister has a 20qm room reserved for it and never is completely alone when playing, just in case he is near a wall or the desk in the corner. get well soon.
So the other day, i nearly broke a few ribs.. I was playing a VR game and of all the stupid things it requires you to lean forward or back to dive or climb. If you lean more than about 10 degrees forward while you cant see whats going on you will fall over.. And thats what happened, only problem is, my desk is only about 1 meter in front of me. I slammed into it blind, but its ok, my ribs took most of the impact SO i uninstalled the game and asked for a refund. And ive had to stay off VR for a couple of days while my ribs recover (i had a nice bruise up my ribs yesterday)
Oh and one more thing. Atari didnt make TDU2.. Eden games did. Atari was just the copmpany that released it. But they was such a bunch of assholes to Eden games. most of eden games walked out. Towards then end of TDU2's playable lifespan there was just a small handful of people still working there.. Nobody in their right mind would make another game like TDU under atari's name. Not after the fiasco with eden games.
That would be a great idea and all, but ywo major issues with that. 1- Do you honestly think just because a bunch of people "DEMAND" a company make something, do you really think they are just gonna say " Oh ok then " and put their hand in their pocket and spend millions developing a new game.. Just coz you said they had to?? and secondly... Atari no longer own the rights to TDU. Another company gained the rights and said they MIGHT do a massive multiplayer online racing game. But that was about 2 years ago when they acquired the rights and nothing has been seen since...

Hello guys. Once again I had a question. I've searched for this everywhere for quite a while now, but I haven't found the answer.
So I downloaded a BMW M3 car mod and replaced it with the CLK 63 AMG Black Series. The rims of the CLK changed to BMW M3 rims, but it didn't have a separate file to be put in the "Rims" section in the Bnk folder. So the original CLK Rim file wasn't changed but the wheels did. Now I'm trying to put Rim Mods in the game on the BMW M3. When I replace the mod rims with the original CLK rims, they don't change in game.
Would anyone happen to know what can be done to basically install Rim Mods on a Car Mod?

Well in this case it could very possible be that the game isn't recognizing the rim file, (for whatever reason, I have no idea) and resort to using a similar rim from another Mercedes. (same thing happens when you try to change the R8 V10 Coupes rims. I don't know what else to tell you other than reinstall the mod, then the rim mod. Make sure the rim mod is renamed to the rims you are trying to replace. Happy modding

Thanks for the quick reply! What I was thinking was maybe the car mod's body file which goes into the "High" folder had the rims as well? In other words, the exterior (body) of the car and the rims are both in 1 file? Do you think this would be possible and maybe the reason why the wheels don't change?

@a242j Thanks for clearing that up! I could never understand that part of the game
@StanceWorks Each folder only contains the corrisponding file High - High quality Body for close-up use (exterior) Interior - Interior of the car Med - Low Quality version of the body, for viewing from really far away (Or in the shiney reflection of the garage when you haven't hovered over the car with the cursor) Rims - The rims of the car
In fact the only thing in the high file that has to do with rims I think is the mapping for the wheels? Not sure on that again
Any other questions feel free to ask (I'm still trying to get the hang of making mods)

@Audrey: YW! What's to understand ... it's TBU2 (TestBetaUnlimited2 - even in this stage is a great game) ? ! About the files from "Med" folder. Lets say that u have replaced the Audi R8 w/ Lamborghini Gallardo, but only in - high, interiors and rims - folders. Well, in game u will see others driving the original Audi R8, and not the Lamborghini Gallardo.
So high is your car, medium is anyone else .. makes sense seeing as the camera will always be closest to your car, that it has the highest level of detail.
@Stancework: I most cases you can change and switch the rims however you want. But in some cases the rims are part of the basemodel where you are forced to use the rims of the modpack.
A good example is the Infinity Concept Mod. Here you can only use the rims that are in the pack. When you change the rims to maybe Lexani, Lorinser or else, you see the rims on the car but without tires. Maybe Tool did that too in case of the BMW M3, so it's possible that you cannot change the rims in that particular case.
Also A.J. is right, in some cases Eden programmed total crap and you have to change the rims from another different car, that has basicly nothing to do with the car you are modding. (The Audi-rims are a really bad example for it.) The Mercedes CLK-rims fortunately are not bugged. So rimchanging should here possible if the rims are not included in basemodel of the carmod.
