I played only for a couple of hours until i had enough again of the handling. I'm waiting until they maybe can improve the handlingmodel.

I'm a beta tester as well. In addition to beta testing I'm making my first car mod. An Acura Integra Type R with a JDM front end conversion (what I drive in irl haha)

well you should.. AFAIK thats the file that tells uplauncher to check what updates have been downloaded yet. it links to your downloadcache folder in some way. which is odd in itself. as there are files named things like "tdu2dlc2v031.big" but it is not the same size as the file named "tdu2dlc2v031" which is located in your main game folder ( or your backup folder if unpacked). the one in DLcache is 600kb the one in the main game folder is around 4mb...

But yeah thats the way you fix it. i knew the fix was deleting a particular file, i just couldn't remember which one, so thats the bit i regoogled. I had to do this fix myself when dlc2 came out as i also got error 4.
Took about 4 goes to get all the updates
