Here is a rough preview. It's not even a months worth of progress. [Clickety Click]
I have a rough understanding of 3D concepts due to school and OG help from Nobby on teaching me basic concepts back in the day. I'm learning something new every time I work on the mod
I'm a beta tester as well. In addition to beta testing I'm making my first car mod. An Acura Integra Type R with a JDM front end conversion (what I drive in irl haha)
Would love to hear some news on it. I saw that it had moved to turbo duck but couldn't really find info.. Its alive? Any info would be interesting, Audrey thanks!
Yooo it’s been a phat minute. Hope y’all are doin good. Saw that test drive is makin a comeback which is so dope. Cant wait to see what they come up with

Modding tutorial for OFW Users How to mod TDU2 on any PS3 you like!
UPDATED 1/10/15 12:53EST Sorry for the terrible port over to windows... I removed the %bkpath% functionality, as it just seemed to get in the way. You just have to type a few more characters now. Please remember that this is a beta package, and you should take it with a grain of salt. Thank you for noting the issues with 0.7, I think I fixed it completely now... Keep letting me know if something is up! Spewfr
Gentle reminder to that of the PS3 users using any sort of backup manipulation tool... Remember that in all modding, you run the risk of getting banned from all PSN connectivity. Read More for your own safety:
NEVER install or run ANY type of Homebrew application on your PS3! (This includes multiman, reActPSN, etc) NEVER put any files on your harddrive that weren't there to start with! NEVER play backups of games! ONLY use files that were originally put on your HDD by PSN! ONLY modify files if you can keep the filesize static! By using my tutorial/tools, you hereby acknowledge that you accept all risks AND do not hold me accountable for anything that goes awry on your PS3. I have been running my PS3 with TPMI mods for about a year now, and I have never even been warned about having them installed. So just don't brag or get yourself reported!
Free DLC & illegality in the future?:
Uhm, also a bit illegal, but I also think that ALL DLC might be free to everybody now, if I can figure out how to get the activation done right... (Atari is a dead company, and I don't think the devs that made this game are even in a contract with them anymore. So really, paying for the content from PSN would just be giving money to... well, Sony. Anybody else who thinks that Sony doesn't deserve more of your money? yeah.)
Introduction: This tutorial will show you how to modify the contents of your PS3's HDD via direct editing of a HDD backup. Modification of TDU2 on the PS3 requires editing of the update files that the PS3 downloads. By having decrypted access to a HDD dump we can extract, edit, and re-install these update files. The following tutorial assumes you've installed all of the TDU2 Update files on your PS3. Note that this tutorial will only show you how to extract one file from this game; there are MANY others. I suggest you do a bit of fooling around, but remember; 1. These update files have a READ ORDER (meaning that the last file that's read by the game is the law of the game; So anything that's in a higher version of updates will be loaded instead of the earlier updates (or original .big files) of the game. You can find updates [here for North America - BLUS30527] and [here for Europe - BLES00884]. (You can find your Game's ID by looking at the disc.) 2. You NEED to keep file sizes! I honestly cannot stress this enough. If you save a .big file with ONE EXTRA BYTE, your game will not load. 3. If you edit and re-install a file from the game, you have to delete the old one from the backup before you restore it. Otherwise, the PS3 will just install the old file.
Tutorial Prerequisites:
Install TDU2 w/update 1.06 Backup your HDD to a USB drive Have your IDPS.bin Have your PSID.bin
Notes:
This program will help you get your IDPS and PSID if you don't have them. [BackupNumber] is going to be different for you [Mine is 2015XXXXXXXX] [GameID] is BLUS30527 if you have the North America version of TDU2, BLES00884 if you have the Europe version Pay attention to paths and their SLASHES [Forward slash / versus Backward Slash; Archive paths are forward, PC are Backward]
Instructions:
1. Extract TDU2Xport to the root directory of the backup USB drive [Place IDPS.bin and PSID.bin inside TDU2XpTools] [Example setup Z:\tdu2xport.bat Z:\mount\[...] Z:\TDU2XpTools Z:\TDU2XpTools\IDPS.bin Z:\PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP etc...] 2. Run tdu2xport.bat 3. Extract TDU2DLC2v027.big:
extractfile PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP\[BackupNumber] /dev_hdd0/game/[GameID]/USRDIR/TDU2DLC2v027.big mount/dev_hdd0/game/[GameID]/USRDIR/TDU2DLC2v027.big
[extract..] [the bath of your backup folder] [path of file in backup that we’re extracting ] [where to extract it to/as on the external drive ]
4. Modify TDU2DLC2v027.big with a mod tool, i.e. TPMI or TPSE. I recommend TPMI for beginners. Find both of them on tdumods.com in Console Modding. 5. Delete TDU2DLC2v027.big from backup archive:
deletefile PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP\[BackupNumber] /dev_hdd0/game/[GameID]/USRDIR/TDU2DLC2v027.big
[delete..] [the bath of your backup folder] [path of file in backup that we’re extracting ]
6. Add modified TDU2DLC2v027.big extracted in step 3
add PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP\[BackupNumber] mount
[+] [the bath of your backup folder] [folder containing dev_hdd0, just “mount”]
[TDU2DLC2v027.big MUST BE HERE: mount/dev_hdd0/game/[GameID]/USRDIR/]
7. Restore modified backup to PS3
Video Tutorial I have to make a new one without %bkpath% being used.

Your issue was that you weren't naming directories properly. The folder you named was USERDIR, when it should have been USRDIR. Always double check your steps!

I do know know why but this new updated version isn't working at all for some reason it's not finding my backup contents even though my backup is unedited 'PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/000000000000'

Hey dude, do you want me to help you out a bit? Sorry you're having issues. Let's see if we can fix it. Do you have enough spoace in the disk, first of all?
