@bmc I got 8gb and It always seems enough for my applications... But since you're into 3D stuff... I mainly run ProTools (Audio editing), which is rather CPU-heavy, but this i3 is holding up remarkably well!
@uTestDrive Any file? Does it have to be 1GB? Can you write anything you want in it? Can you name it whatever you want? Can it have any extention? Can you set a directory as well? (even without knowing what it actually corresponds to?) If so, congratulations, you may have found a way to somehow hack it and get the files for your own. You can write a script and get the server to excecute it. But you'll want to be careful, it's gonna be Atari you'll be hacking, not some small local restaurant's website.
But the soundcard is... Meh... Not a powerful amp in it at ALL (I run the volume at 70-90% when mixing whereas 10% will cut it on my mac), and it mustn't be very lineal (At least I know everything sounds more colored than on my mac...)
